TRAIN THE TRAINER
Intensive and highly interactive 3 day programme containing role plays, practice presentations, exercises and several opportunities to practice content preparation using the Framework System™. This course is now certified at FETAC Level 6.
COST:
This is a three-day course and costs €995 euro per person, inclusive of course manual, lunch and refreshments.
OVERVIEW:
This course is aimed at Managers, Supervisors and Trainers who impart information to individuals or groups. Whilst the basics of presenting are revisited - eye contact, body language, audience physiology the main emphasis is placed on appealing to the different learning preferences people have including recall during and after learning and memory review techniques. A progressive series of presentations prepared by delegates will be recorded allowing for continuous feedback.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• Learn to appeal to the different learning preferences adults have e.g. recall during learning, recall after learning, memory review techniques, right and left hand brain training
• Have a step-by-step approach to training design & know how to conduct a Training Needs Analysis
• Be able to choose the most effective training methods and know how to use them
• Maintaining the group interest during training session
• Question handling - when and how
• Handling the sceptical or unwilling participant
• Have a system for evaluating the effectiveness of training
• Have significantly improved your training skills
• Devise an action plan for further personal improvement
COURSE DURATION:
9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. with several 15 minute stretch breaks as required.

• Understanding of the principles of adult learning
• Ability to create training solutions that meet organisational needs
• Have a step-by-step approach to training design & know how to conduct a Training Needs Analysis
• Be able to choose the most effective training methods and know how to use them
• Display confidence and knowledge and know how to hold audience attention
• Have a system for evaluating the effectiveness of your training
• Understand the elements necessary to become a creditable trainer and devise an action plan for further personal improvement

*This programme is a FETAC component (minor) award, certified at Level 6 on the national framework of qualifications (www.nfq.ie ).
Full instructions, timelines and ongoing guidance will be given by the course tutor. Most assessments are completed during the programme and results will be made available to learners as soon as they have gone through our Quality Assurance procedures and final submission to FETAC.

Engineers Ireland CPD Scheme
In 2009, FPTS became a registered training provider with Engineers Ireland, recognising FPTS as a training provider who offers relevant learning oppurtunities for the career development of Engineers Ireland (EI) members.
Each FPTS course attended allows EI members to gain credits under the CPD scheme
